Episode 1: Introducing your host

Before you get started on your journey into all things natural health, I thought I should introduce myself!

I’m a clinical naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist and owner of the wellness clinic ‘Natural Health and Nutrition’. I operate my own private practice in Sydney, whilst also working part-time as a Research Officer for a healthcare company. I’ve worked as a research scientist in one form or another for over 20 years, with a primary focus on human health and nutrition. However, being a lifelong dog-owner and currently meeting the demands of three French Bulldogs, a German Shepherd and a Burmese cat, I became as passionate about the health and wellbeing of our pets as I was about their owners. And it was this strong desire to see my own pets live their longest and best lives that led me to hours of personal research and additional study in the area of natural animal health and nutrition.

There is so much conflicting information on social media and the internet, making it hard for people to know what’s true and what’s not – or if it’s just old wives tales and Chinese whispers! And that’s where I come in. With my education and training, it is my job to understand what works and what doesn’t – what’s evidenced based and what’s not. Given my strong scientific background, I continually strive to provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based information as it relates to both humans and dogs. My goal is to educate and empower you to own your path to optimal health. So sit back and enjoy the show 🙂
